The Office
 
The candidate will be based at the Group's Malta office at Level 6, The Hedge Business Centre, Triq ir-Rampa ta' San Giljan, Balluta Bay, St Julian's STJ1062, Malta. Parking facilities available.

The candidate will be required to travel occasionally to other offices mainly Spain and UK.
 
Job Description Overview
 
The Management Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager to help run a strong and efficient group finance function. The role will also involve working closely with the Administrators of the Funds under management, Business Development and Fund Operations. Key roles and responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to.
 
Role, Duties and Responsibilities
  • Produce Financial Statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries;
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory and Consolidated accounts at Group level;
  • To keep all financial records up to date and ensure their accuracy;
  • Production of daily banking schedules, reconciliations and production of cashflow forecasts;
  • Processing, scheduling and reconciliation of Intercompany accounts and recharges;
  • Ensure deliverables are produced in a timely manner and to a high standard;
  • Report on company assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets;
  • Manage and co-ordinate responses to enquiries and requests that are received from external intermediaries, advisers and investors;
  • Continuous review of working practices and procedures to ensure efficient and cost effective operations;
  • Preparation of reports and information for use in strategic decision making;
  • Help develop prosperous working relationships with the fund administrators, auditors and banks;
  • Ensure all audits are signed off in a timely manner, by providing deliverables to the auditors and answering their queries;
  • Assist the Finance Manager with any other related matters as and when necessary.
 
Management Accountant Profile
  • CPA, CA, ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified or equivalent Able to work under own initiative without close supervision;
  • 2 years work experience in a corporate/IFRS/financial/management accounting environment is essential;
  • Experience of working with Sage/Accpac and other accounting systems;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential;
  • Must be deadline orientated, self-motivated and proactive;
  • Strong Analytical and organisational skills as well as intellectual with a strong commercial acumen;
  • Advanced Excel and strong MS Office required;
  • Experience of asset management and fund administration industries would be an advantage;
  • Big 4 experience would be a plus.
 
Compensation

An attractive financial package is being offered which is competitive and commensurate with experience.

A structured performance review is carried out at least on an annual basis and subject to discretionary salary review and performance bonus.

Job Description
 
The Corporate Services Executive's role is to provide corporate services support and compliance services to the Group and also a wide range of offshore investment funds and other pooled investment vehicles managed by the group.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel and supporting the Head of Investments, this is a full time position that would suit an experienced individual with a track record in a similar role and environment. Whilst primarily administrative, all staff are encouraged to utilise their respective skills and abilities in other areas of the company's activity to further their own career development and success in the role will bring greater exposure to investors and business partners.

Based in our offices in St Julian’s Malta, this position will involve working as a member of the Corporate Services Team working from Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Company Secretarial / Paralegal Support
  • Drafting shareholder, Board and securities holder resolutions for the Group and investment vehicles
  • Organisation of Board meetings to be held at various locations internationally;
  • Assisting with associated travel arrangements;
  • Production, collation and circulation of Board Director documentation packs;
  • Taking and editing meeting minutes to a high standard;
  • Organising Investment Committee meetings;
  • Attendance and contribution to Investment Committee meetings;
  • Drafting Board Director agreements;
  • Drafting consultancy and employee agreements;
  • Drafting investment business introducer agreements.
Corporate Governance / Business Partner / Investor Relations
  • Drafting offering memoranda, listing particulars and financial promotion materials for the Group’s and business partners’ investment vehicles;
